Andrea Camilleri is not only a writer but also a screenwriter and a theater director. This is an interesting interview with one of Italian's leading living authors. He's quite a character, and his Italian is also quite easy to understand.
Camilleri is most noted for his books on Inspector Montalbano. He also wrote a new piece of fiction which I hope to review soon (Un sabato, con gli amici) as well as short stories and other works -- you can find a list of them here on ibs.it.
